Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information hearingscripture.com (“the site,” “we,” “us”) collects about visitors, how it’s used, and the third-party services involved. The site is operated as a personal publishing project; we collect as little as we reasonably can.
If you have any questions about anything below, email soulshepherdpodcast@gmail.com.
Information we collect directly
We don’t ask you for any personal information to read the site. There are no accounts, no comments, no forms, and no email signup at this time.
If you email us, we’ll have your email address and whatever you write in the message. We use that to reply and nothing else. We don’t add you to a mailing list without your explicit consent.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, our web server keeps standard access logs. These typically include:
- Your IP address
- The date and time of your visit
- The page you requested
- The page that referred you (if any)
- Your browser type and operating system
These logs are used for operational purposes — diagnosing errors, identifying abuse, and understanding general traffic patterns. They are not combined with any other data to identify you personally.
Cookies
The site itself does not set any first-party cookies. Third-party services we use may set cookies; those are described below.
Third-party services
Google AdSense
We may display advertising on the site through Google AdSense. When AdSense is active, Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites across the web. This may include personalized advertising.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Alternatively, you may opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
- Google’s privacy and advertising policies are available at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and policies.google.com/privacy.
If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Google’s consent management may prompt you for ad-personalization choices before any tracking cookies are set.
Google Fonts
The site loads a single typeface (Crimson Pro) from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these font files, Google receives your IP address and basic request information. Google states that font requests are not used to personalize ads. Google’s privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Amazon
Links on the site may direct you to amazon.com to view or purchase the book. When you follow such a link, Amazon’s own privacy practices apply. We do not transmit any personally identifying information to Amazon. If any link on the site is an Amazon Associates affiliate link, we will identify it as such in plain language on the page; you would pay no more for the product, and we may earn a small commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you.
Web host
Our web server is operated under our control and serves static HTML over HTTPS. The server may retain access logs as described above.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We do not run our own analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) on the site.
- We do not run tracking pixels for advertising platforms other than what AdSense itself uses.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law (for example, the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act) may give you rights including:
- The right to know what personal information we hold about you
- The right to request correction or deletion of that information
- The right to object to or restrict certain processing
- The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
To exercise any of these rights, email soulshepherdpodcast@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Data retention
Server access logs are retained for a short period (typically 30 days or less) and are then rotated out. Emails you send to us are retained only as long as needed to respond and follow up.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page for a reasonable period.
