These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of hearingscripture.com (“the site,” “we,” “us”). By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Use of the site
You may read, link to, and quote from the site for personal, non-commercial purposes, including for study, teaching, sermon preparation, and academic citation, provided you give clear attribution to Hearing Scripture and a link back to the original page where reasonable.
You may not:
- Reproduce substantial portions of the site (whole chapters, multiple chapters, or the bulk of any chapter) in any form, including reprints, derivative books, training datasets, or commercial products, without prior written permission.
- Scrape the site for the purpose of training or fine-tuning machine learning models.
- Frame, mirror, or otherwise represent the site’s content as your own.
- Interfere with the site’s normal operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or transmit malicious code.
2. Intellectual property
All written content on the site — chapters, essays, page copy, and the project’s name and branding — is © 2026 Hearing Scripture unless otherwise noted. All rights reserved.
Quoted passages from scripture and from third-party works are reproduced under fair use principles for purposes of commentary, criticism, and scholarship. Quotations remain the property of their respective copyright holders. If you believe a quotation exceeds fair use or has been attributed incorrectly, please contact us at soulshepherdpodcast@gmail.com and we will review promptly.

3. No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” While we work to be accurate, especially with respect to Hebrew and Greek transliterations, historical claims, and citations, the content is offered for general educational and devotional purposes and is not a substitute for professional theological, pastoral, academic, medical, legal, or other expert advice.
We make no warranties, express or implied, that:
- The site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
- Information on the site is complete, current, or free from error.
- Following any guidance, reading, or interpretation on the site will produce any particular outcome.
You use the site at your own discretion and risk.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hearing Scripture and its operators will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the site — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profit, or interruption of service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
If, despite the foregoing, liability is found, our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising from or related to the site is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100.00).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not fully apply to you.
5. External links
The site links to external sites — including Amazon, Google, and other third-party resources — that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those sites. Following an external link is at your own discretion.
6. Amazon links and affiliate disclosure
Links to amazon.com on this site direct you to the book Hearing Scripture on Amazon. If any such link is configured as an Amazon Associates affiliate link, we will identify it as such in plain language on the page where it appears. Affiliate links cost you nothing extra; if you purchase through one, we may earn a small commission that supports the project. The decision to use an affiliate link does not influence editorial content on the site.
7. Advertising
The site may display advertising through Google AdSense and other ad networks. We do not endorse the products or services advertised. Concerns about a specific advertisement should be directed to the advertiser or to the relevant ad network — see our Privacy Policy for opt-out information.
8. Privacy
Your privacy is important. See our Privacy Policy for details on what information is collected, how it’s used, and the third-party services involved.
9. Children
The site is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, where applicable, the state in which the site’s operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction in that state, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
